regarding backorders and changes to textbooks.
- If you are affected by a backorder, please reach out to your instructor to ask if there are any temporary accomodations available until the textbook is back in stock.
I placed an online order, but why haven't I received my email saying that it is ready for pickup?

If you placed a web order and the book is backordered, we will process your order as soon as the book is available
I've tried to call the bookstore and couldn't get through.
- If you call during the business day and your call isn't answered, it could be because our staff are helping other customers. Please call us back or send us an email. Our email is bookstore@mchenry.edu and we will respond to your email as soon as we can.
What is your refund policy?

Receipt Requirement: A valid MCC Store receipt or packing slip is necessary for all returns and exchanges.

Access Codes and Shrink-Wrapped Books: These must remain unopened and unrevealed.

eBooks: Must have less than 10% usage to be eligible for return.

Non-Textbook Merchandise: Must be returned within 30 days and must be unused, unworn, unopened, and in saleable condition.

Electronics: Must be returned within 2 weeks and in saleable condition. Damaged electronics can only be exchanged if they are dead on arrival.

Non-Refundable Items: Clearance items, art kits, and their supplies are not eligible for refunds.
Don’t let your paid order become “Abandoned”!
Any orders not picked up either 30 days after order process finalized – or – after the “Last day to return by” date, whichever is sooner, will be considered abandoned.
No Refunds are given to abandoned orders.
Can I sell my books back?

Yes, you can! We have two in-person buybacks each year during the week of finals. In May and December.

How do I find my textbooks online?

You can access your textbook list through the MCC Bookstore website under "Buy Textbooks" tab. You will need your schedule to determine the necessary books for your courses. (Ex: ACC-101-004)
My eBook and/or access code does not work. What do I do?
- First, inform your professor that you are having trouble; they may be able to perform some basic trouble shooting.
- You may be experiencing some technical issues related to the operating system or code you are using.
Please follow all of the registration/installation instructions that came with your access code or eBook.
If you are still having trouble utilizing the code; please call the tech support number that came with the code,
they are in the best position to help you resolve the problem.
- For ebooks using RedShelf, submit a request with them here: RedShelf
- If you have spoken to your professor, called tech support and still have a problem, please bring the code back to the MCC Store with your receipt and we will work with you to find a solution.
Can I use my financial aid for books?

Yes, you can use financial aid in store and on our website! You must have your student ID or 7 digit student ID number on hand. Financial aid funds are subject to availability and award type.
